Resource description:

In the Recipes for Recovery webinar series, we explore workable models that leverage private investment to address ecological challenges at the landscape scale and the business models and implementation mechanisms that are needed for strategic, landscape scale initiatives to function. In this series, we discuss the successes and challenges within each case study and highlight key elements that make the models and mechanisms transferrable elsewhere.

This session explores Landscape Enterprise Networks (LENs) and the recent launch of the Leven LENs project in Scotland. It provides information about the LENs model and how each LENs is tailored to address tangible issues within the local context - helping to align local demand for ecosystem services which drive investment. Key learnings are presented from the Leven LENs project, including updates on the first trades, the challenges and successes of implementing LENs within the Leven and what’s next for this initiative in Scotland and beyond.

This session is chaired by Dr. Hannah Rudman (Senior Research Fellow, James Hutton Institute), with presentations and discussion with Tom Brown, Senior Program Manager for LENs Co and Amelia Heath, Director at the Forth Rivers Trust.

This event is co-hosted by the Scottish Nature Finance Pioneers, the Integrating Nature Finance and Biodiversity programme and the Centre for Sustainable Forests and Landscapes at University of Edinburgh.
